Chapel Cellars is located in Historic St. Mary’s City, the site of Maryland’s first capital and the fourth permanent English settlement in the New World. St. Mary’s City was one of the earliest communities in America founded on religious toleration, and is the site of the first Roman Catholic Chapel in the English colonies. This legacy has inspired Chapel Cellars.
